NICHOLAS BREMER N.D.D. R.A.S. Cert.
Nick Bremer studied Fine Art at Maidstone College of Art – the old premises in Faith Street – to the National Diploma in Design. This was followed by three years post-graduate in the painting studios of the Royal Academy Schools, and then on to teaching Art and Design, finally at Brighton College where he was Director of Art for a number of years. The ability to teach the multifarious disciplines associated with the subject and expected by the students probably accounts for the variety of styles and genres you will find in his portfolio. He now paints full time in oils and watercolours, both speculatively and on commission - often working on landscapes and architectural paintings of gardens, estates and properties around Britain. Working excursions to Brittany, Umbria, the Isle of Man, Cornwall, South Wales and south-west Ireland have productively extended artistic horizons, and trips to Mauritius and Iceland tested creative resilience in totally contrasting climates! He has exhibited in solo and group shows, including the R.A. Summer Exhibition, and has work in collections in the U.K., Europe and the United States. Work may be purchased directly from the website; enquiries by telephone or email, or visits to the studio are more than welcome. |
